When defending a notion
an argument must be made
but never to convince
because the convincing is done independently

Sometimes I would wish to say nothing at all
and I may
But usually I speak
because I know that a small pebble
can leave the door hinge ajar

In a crazy world
this be considered trickery
and I
the mastermind of it all

Possibly
they recognize the power of humility
or more likely
they sense the sublime force
that unsettles the end of the scale
on which they reside
