Today your eyes lit up
How did I do that
And a smile
I saw a smile
That burst through
Like sunshine through the clouds
I saw you standing there
And smiling

Now I'm a silly boy
A silly school boy
With a sock in my mouth
Your big fat foot in my mouth
I almost choked
On my pride
I swallowed it so darn fast

You make me want to write silly poetry
And hand it to strangers at the mall
