State of the Union Address
Great! I am so relieved to have heard the truth spoken in my life time. I can now live the rest of life and accept the contrivities that politicians wish to purport, knowing that at least once, I was assured that what I deemed fit was fit. Politics is funny funny stuff. Makes people choose sides, makes people look at each other differently. The way I see things is generally when it comes to choosing sides you can go for the quick short term solutions that look real good and sound even better--or you can go with a solid long term solution. I am always eying the big picture so you can guess what I prefer.

It does bother me that men and women are truly obsessed with power and control; whatever. Many, many politicians are artificial functions of desired results and short term visions that reflect the last 5 minute whim of society. Ride the waves baby!

Did you hear when the President reiterated the fact that America does not want to seize new lands, take over countries or build a growing empire? Yet people are so bent on perspective that they can't relate to our eminent role in this world. Bush mentioned that we will lead the way for freedom. And somehow those who wish not to cede this stance feel as though they have other countries' best concerns in mind. My overall attitude for the naysayers has always been--"Hey, your not doing anybody any favors". Your not helping me or my friends whom you wish to appeal to.

I'm telling you, look at the Book of Mormon and the many wars and battles fought between the Nephites and Lamanites; of which one of the best military commanders, Moroni, was very much engaged in the cause of the security of his people. Very much engaged in defense. That is a healthy pursuit.

I don't trust fluffy politicians whose chests arch up high in the sky when they approach a pulpit. They formulate these flattering speeches, and the words glide right off their tongues in the ultimate act of intimate self-love surrounded by bells and whistles, applause and congratulation, making you the people just another casual fling in a list of empty affairs. The dead give away is that they always stress the wrong words when enunciating. I want to help you, the people.

Help me help me help. But people have argued over politics since forever, and rightfully so. The way I see it, there are so many factors involved, with none of them being decidedly more important than the other, it could go a hundred different ways. But personally, I like to cut to the heart of matters and find the absolutes. That is what I deal with; the absolutes, the necessaries--and that makes decision making easy and clear cut.

I go to a community college, and I am your humble internet friend--thanks for stopping by.
