And that was that.
It's time for some utter rambling and blah, blah, blah. "Utter" is my word of the month. It is a fabulous word. Utter devastaton. Utterly fantastic. Whatever. I like words that describe and depict emotions which are relative to the brink of something. The brink of mayhem or joy; what have you. I like that because it's clear and powerful when something has reached that point, and also that makes for a great time to analyze and make judgement calls. At such time, it is time to answer the call of necessity. It must be dealt with and its nature must be understood.
This leads me to a sense of urgency. Reaction to urgency is special to me, and somehow I am waiting for my call to react to urgent situations. That's why I like songs with sirens in them; non-techno listening people are like scratching their heads right now I am sure. Although, Rage Against The Machine made a song on their first album which had a guitar climax which sounded like sirens going off. Track number 6. Anyway, when I hear beats with sirens I get hype. It gets a reaction out of me.
Yes so all of this makes me a sensationalist kinda person, and that is a bad thing. You can't be doing things for the thrill of it, and tempting your own curiousity without restraint. Look at people in America, yes the sheep. Sheep are good and it is your destiny. As kids get older, including diehard punks and other rebels, you start moving towards center. Work has a lot to do with it. School might too. But really it's you. You a) turn into your parents, b) want to feel comfortable, c) have kids and change your focus.
As you get older and older, you will begin to wear normal clothes, turn off aggressive forms of music, and choose the weather as the lingua franca (standard language) of small-time conversation. Your taste in clothing will become increasingly bland and you will resort to shopping simply by color schemes. You will sport the solid green shirt with the solid blue jeans. Wear a solid black coat. Maybe an all red scarf. In your closet you will find green, red, blue, black, and white clothing of the solid-color variety, and with no variation. Why? Because now you want to live life simply. Simple. Oooh, it's so comfortable, come on in.
Is it that the middle is reality? Yes, the place that the blind sheep have defined. The extremes are irrational, wouldn't you agree? Once you reach center, you can throw away far fetched ideology, and focus on the simple things of life--the bread of life. Hmmm. Have you ever seen a person who has not nestled in near center? Maybe you saw some old 34 year old goth dude hanging out with some 18 year olds. Still wanting to live the glory days, fighting the system, and being cool. Now, didn't you say to yourself, "Yo, there's something wrong with this guy."? Well, at that moment it becomes immediately apparent that he should have grown out of that phase, and that those kids must do the same at some point.
So to all you people with purple hair, and piercings--I laugh. Only because I have looked into your face, and saw the sheepish person you will become. Like a strong man who doesn't recognize the fact that he cried without his pacifier as a child, you will become completely indifferent to the person you once were. And you will look at me and wonder.
